This week I had the great pleasure of presenting to the Business Partners Group at Anoka Technical College on this topic. Small business owners in particular struggle deciding when to bring on additional staff. Fortunately, there are several resourcing options:
Build the talent: full time, part time, interns
Buy the talent: external hire or outsource non-core activities
Rent the talent: temp staff, independent contractors
Once the resourcing decision has been made, you need to find the talent, hire well and welcome the new person to the organization.
